Single Ply
Hot Melt
Single ply has been used in the UK for over 20 years. They are light weight, quick to install, cold applied, clean and with good life expectancy. We are pleased to be able to offer systems from many of the leading manufacturers.
Long Strip Metal
Hot melt is a relatively recent product in the UK and has certain advantages over other systems. These include being a 'protected' system applied in an inverted roofing system, can be laid with zero falls, has 100% bond to the structure reducing water tracking below life expectancy.
Mastic Asphalt
This form of roofing has seen the largest increase within our company over the last five years. Fantastic architectural designs can be achieved from zinc, copper and stainless steel and the degree of workmanship expected is very high.
Bituminous Membrane
Despite being available for many years, bituminous membranes are as viable today as they always have been. New technology means that they are incredibly durable with long life expectancy and innovations such as the NFRC's 'safe to torch' scheme results in safe working practices.
Slating & Tiling
In order to give our clients a vast array of options we carry out a number of different roofing disciplines. This includes roofing projects using natural or man made slates, specialist lead work and standard tiling projects.
Cold Applied
We are seeing a large increase in the demand for cold applied systems in the last two years. The product is seamless and has huge advantages for difficult detailing, easily applied, odourless and with minimum disruption.
Green Roofs
We have great experience in green roofs having carried out many projects over the years. The benefits of a green roof are well known in todays society unusual weather patterns but include rainwater attenuation, aesthetics, new habitats for wildlife, reduction of noise and dust levels to name but a few.
Mastic asphalt has been laid for over three generations within our company. It is laid by craftsmen who have spent many years in training and have unique advantages in certain applications. Recent technology has resulted in new products such as polymer modified asphalt.
Urban Roof was established in 2012 with the intention of being able to cover all elements and practices in the roofing industry. Over the years Urban Roof have continued to grow in all areas as well as expanding into niche markets such as zinc and green roofing. We take pride in knowing we are one of the very few organisations in the South West that cover all disciplines of roofing including single ply, long strip, tile and slate, cladding and waterproofing.
We also take our corporate social responsibility very seriously here at Urban Roof, we strive to contribute to a sustainable environment by reducing contractual waste, replanting trees, creating habitats for wildlife on green roofing and by ensuring our designs suit the environment that they're in. Our staff are all well trained and work together in unison to ensure that operations continue to run efficiently and effectively in order to provide top rated services to both domestic and commercial clients.
Health and safety is very important to us, our site team have had extensive training in order to eliminate risks and hazards to ensure safe working conditions. We are approved by both Constructionline and SMAS as a work safe contractor.
